Abarth 595 and 695 (IT)
Abarth 595 and 695 (IT)
At the end of the 1950s, Karl Abarth began tuning the smallest of the Fiat cars. Under the sign of the Scorpion, a long and successful series of "derivatives" was thus born.
The popular Abarth transformation kits for the Fiat 500 made it more attractive and sporty, without limiting its circulation to the track: in 1963 the 595 Abarth was launched, produced first on a Fiat 500 D base and then on a Fiat 500 F until the end of 1971, while in 1964 came the Fiat Abarth 595 SS, followed by the 695 and 695 SS.
This book is dedicated to all those who have owned, loved and driven one of these cars. It provides a register of the examples that still exist, the technical characteristics of each "derivative" and a history of the races that saw it as protagonist on the circuits from 1964 to 1974.
Abarth 595 695 is a guide to buying and restoring, also with colour pictures, that will be precious for collectors.
