On 3 April 1954 the product of an unlikely union first took to the track, at Snetterton in Norfolk. The Lister-MG sports racing car, driven by a Scottish amateur who made his living as a travelling salesman, stormed through to win. The driver was Archie Scott-Brown and he was dreadfully disabled. Over the next five years he won 71 major races, 44 of them in Cambridge-built Lister cars. This book, which was named 'Book of the Year' by Classic & Sports Car magazine and is being re-issued to meet public demand, tells the story of that memorable partnership.
