With the aid of around 150 photographs, Kevin McCormack takes a look at bus stations in Britain during a thirty-year period that ends with the last year prior to deregulation of bus services. Bus stations were owned by the bus companies or by local authorities, often one and the same.
Those illustrated in this book range in size from little more than open yards to large and impressive buildings such as Preston bus station and Kevin's excellent captions add further interest to the photographs.
