Cobra - Trevor Legate
Cobra - Trevor Legate
This is the story of a sports car that refused to die. The Cobra was created by Carroll Shelby and produced by both Shelby American in the United States and AC Cars in Great Britain. Launched in 1962, Cobra production ceased in 1968 after immense success in competition, leaving an indelible mark on racing history. Later, the Cobra reappeared in kit form, which proved so successful that both the American and British manufacturers resumed production. Attempts to conquer the market and legal battles ensued. Even today, this car is manufactured in a multitude of forms. Lavishly illustrated with over 300 photos, most of them previously unpublished, this fascinating book immerses us in the unique history of a true icon: the Cobra.
For many years this was the seminal work on the Cobra.
An acceptable reading copy, the dust jacket is crumpled and the spine faded. It is not an ex-library book but not up to our usual standard. It is, however, far, far cheaper than other copies.
