The first Ferrari to land on Australian soil was a 1952 212 Inter Berlinetta which remains down under to this day. Bill Pappy Lowe ordered the car and upon its delivery in Melbourne became the first appointed Ferrari agent outside of Europe and remained Australias importer until 1970. By that time, 65 Ferraris had been brought into Australia, not all by Lowes, as many sports and race cars landed for specific motor racing events. Australia was fortunate to have had onshore such a variety of these cars, namely 125 F1, 625 F1, 750 Monza, 857S Monza, 555 Super Squalo, 250TR Prototype, 246 F1, 250LM, 365 P2, 275GTB Competizione Clienti, 246T and 330 P4 as well as many examples of the road cars manufactured up to the end of 1969 including the 250 GT SWB and 400 Superamerica Cabriolet. All these cars nowadays are highly sought after with some being museum pieces. Barry Farr, a Ferrari enthusiast since the mid-1950s and a Ferrari owner himself the last 30 years, has comprehensively researched all the aforementioned 65 Ferraris and has produced this hard cover landscape book detailing their lifetime histories complemented by colour and black/white images. This is a unique historic record presented on quality art paper which would stand proud in any Ferrari enthusiasts library.
