Lancia Fulvia (F)
Lancia Fulvia (F)
The Fulvia Coupé, a successful sports car from Lancia with an original and innovative design, was launched in 1965. This book, written in collaboration with Emilio Agiato, traces its history up to 1976, discussing its successive versions with 1200, 1300, and 1600 cc engines.
An entire chapter is devoted to the Fulvia Sport with Zagato coachwork. The Fulvia's exceptional racing career receives special attention, with two chapters dedicated to the HF versions and their competition results.
Finally, the book explores the history of the Lancia brand and the Fulvia in France and Belgium. Like its predecessors, this book by Julien Lombard relies primarily on period illustrations (press photos, catalogs, advertisements, magazine covers, etc.), many of which are previously unpublished, while all versions of the Fulvia Coupé & Sport are detailed in the appendices thanks to dozens of drawings specially created by former Bertone and Pininfarina designer Piero Stroppa.
No fewer than fifteen contemporary witnesses (former dealers and importers, designers, rally drivers, etc.) were interviewed, notably Cesare Fiorio, former head of the Squadra HF, Ercole Spada, designer of the Fulvia Sport, and the Frenchwoman Claudine Trautmann, who distinguished herself driving official Fulvias for several years.
