As the sister of the "Wasp" (Vespa), the Italian manufacturer Piaggio introduced the three-wheeled transporter "Bee" (Ape) in 1947. Developed in the austere post-war period, the Ape is the last survivor of a now-extinct vehicle category. And for good reason: no other three-wheeler in the world has been produced in greater numbers. After his bestsellers about the more famous Vespa, it was time for Günther Uhlig to finally turn his attention to the unjustly neglected Ape. In this volume, he does so in detail, describing all the models that have been released from 1947 to the present day.
