Moto Guzzi Airone (IT)
Moto Guzzi Airone (IT)
Produced from 1939 to 1957, the Airone is certainly one of Guzzi’s most successful models, a motorcycle which, for 15 years was the most classical and widely used two-wheeler in Italy, a happy medium between the utility car and those of superior performance. Over the years the company, based at Mandello del Lario continually updated the bike with modifications to the suspension and engine that led to the birth of a lively sports version in 1949. The technical evolution, the industrial and sporting history of the Airone are the subject of this book, containing rare material in black and white and colour and written by Mario Colombo, among the foremost experts on the glorious history of Moto Guzzi.
